about us

Born and raised in Sheffield, England, Keith Wright was inspired to make films after sneaking into late night video screenings organised by his parents. After leaving school he worked part time in a local video rental shop and studied photography at Sheffield University.

Landing a job at a local production company Keith ‘borrowed’ equipment at weekends to make films and experiment with filmmaking technique. His particular interest in the editing process led to gaining a three-year placement at the National Film and Television School (NFTS) where he graduated with a Diploma in film editing.

After leaving the NFTS Keith returned to his own filmmaking routes with the award winning short film Where’s Bingo Betty? After a string of other shorts, he went on to develop, shoot and direct the feature length comedy Take me to Your leader. Since then Keith has concentrated on writing and developing projects whilst enjoying a successful career as an editor.

Other notes
Keith appears in the BFI book 'In Short' by Eileen Elsey and Andrew Kelly.

richard guy

Richard has been around the media industry in one form or another all his life. His dad used to work for ITN and would take Richard as a small boy with him to LWT and away on Outside Broadcasts. His academic life focused heavily on media ending with a Degree in Film Studies.

After finishing his studies Richard went on to produce programmes of varying genres including factual documentaries, high-end corporate productions, music promos and commercials. Through these productions Richard has produced a diverse range of filming all over the world: aerial shoots over the Colombian jungle, underwater filming with the RNLI, Oil Rigs in the Congo, drama reconstruction for The International Criminal Court in The Hague…

A recent collaboration with Keith Wright brought Richard to FrissonFilm, where he is developing several projects, whilst encouraging new collaborations with other writers and directors.

Richard is currently producing Certified and is looking to secure additional funding for this production.

rob richardson

Rob’s interest in film developed early in life, when his favourite Aunty would convince front-of-house cinema staff that he was indeed old enough to be admitted into pictures well beyond his years. These adult themed works (Outland, Bladerunner and Conan The Destroyer) led to a passion for the mature narratives and defined characters that resonate in Rob’s work to this day.

It became clear, whilst attending art college, that a modicum of campus celebrity was more easily aquired via schlock film production than by the higher brow techniques of palette knife, chisel and Conté crayon. Thus, he set about learning the craft of dramatic storytelling in a bid to elevate his writing to a more professional level.

Consequently, Rob’s career has flitted between drawing, writing and animating for comic books, video games, television and film.

Various staff jobs in the media industry eventually led to his solo writing/directorial debut, the award-winning animated short, ‘Siempré Vuelta’. Currently Rob is working with Keith Wright in developing the live-action feature, ‘Alan Of Atlantis’ for Frisson Film.

He is available for after-dinner speaking, feng-shui consultancy, and light aircraft maintenance.
